PA / Nylon Recycling Solution

Recycle PA6, PA66 and other polyamide engineering plastics — automotive parts, fishing nets, carpet fibers — into high-quality reusable pellets.

Raw Material — Before Processing

Key Processing Considerations for PA

PA is hygroscopic — moisture control and vacuum degassing are essential to maintain mechanical properties and avoid degradation.

Moisture Control

PA absorbs moisture rapidly. Pre-drying (80–90°C, 4–6 hrs) or in-line vacuum degassing prevents hydrolysis and loss of tensile strength.

High Melting Point

PA6 melts at ~220°C, PA66 at ~260°C. Precise barrel temperature control ensures melt uniformity without overheating or charring.

Contamination Handling

Fishing net and carpet fiber waste often contains sand, dye, and coatings. Dual filtration + fine-mesh screen packs ensure clean pellets.

Additive Compounding

Twin-screw systems allow glass fiber, flame retardants, or lubricants to be added during recycling to restore or enhance performance grades.

Pro tip: For fishing net or carpet PA recycling, use a water-cooling strand pelletizer (EP-SP) after twin-screw extrusion to ensure uniform pellet size and minimize dust generation.

Recommended Granulator Type

Best Choice

Twin-Screw (EP-TW)

High torque, precise temperature zones, and vacuum degassing port — ideal for moisture-sensitive PA. Capacity 150–800 kg/hr.
